Legal Counsel (full time 100%)

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel, responsible for organizing and monitoring arbitration procedures, to join our team. 

Main responsibilities

  • Organizing and overseeing arbitration procedures  

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • Attorney-at-law/Solicitor (knowledge and practice of Swiss law is an advantage)
  • Experience in arbitration
  • Experience in sports law
  • Interest in sports in general
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written)
  • Proficiency in Spanish or French as a second working language is a plus
  • Strong writing skills

Start date: Available from 1st October 2023 or earlier

In-house clerk (full time 100%)

We are seeking a qualified lawyer to join our team as an In-house Clerk to work in collaboration with CAS counsels and arbitral panels and to contribute to the drafting of decisions and scientific reports.

Main responsibilities

  • Assisting arbitral panels in their proceedings
  • Drafting decisions and reports

Profile

  • Attorney-at-law/Dr in law/lawyer
  • Previous experience in arbitration/international law
  • Familiarity with sports law
  • Strong interest in sports in general
  • Fluent in written English and Spanish is a requirement
  • Proficiency in a third working language is advantageous
  • Excellent writing skills

Start date: Available from 1st October 2023 or earlier

Secretary (full time 100%)

We are seeking a full-time (100%) Secretary to join our team, in order to provide administrative support and to produce high-quality documents, as well as organizing and coordinating meetings and travel arrangements.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Organize and maintain files and records, both physical and electronic, ensuring easy retrieval and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and travel arrangements
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.

Preferred Requirements and Experience:

  • Strong secretarial training
  • Previous experience providing secretarial support in a legal or related field
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with flexibility
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written)
  • Proficiency in Spanish or French as a second working language is a necessary condition
  • Interest in sports in general
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate, and well-structured documents.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Scientific counsel (full time 100%)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced lawyer as Scientific Counsel to perform several missions, i.e. reviewing the CAS jurisprudence, making research, writing articles, managing the CAS database, and drafting reports.

Main responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the jurisprudence 
  • Managing the CAS database 
  • Drafting reports and articles

Profile:

  • Lawyer/Dr in law
  • Experience in arbitration/international law
  • Experience in sports law
  • Interest for sport in general
  • Interest for academic work
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written)
  • A third working language is an asset
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ease with data processing
