The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will be operating an Ad hoc Division for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

A CAS delegation will be onsite in Japan to ensure that any sports-related disputes that arise during the event can be resolved in an expedited timeframe. Athletes and sports bodies can make arbitration requests free of charge between 15 September 2026 – 4 October 2026.

The CAS arbitrators who will be present in Japan are 

  • Salman Al-Ansari (Qatar)

  • Steven Bainbridge (Canada/UAE)

  • Prof. Yoshihisa Hayakawa (Japan)

  • Ian Hunt (New Zealand/ United Kingdom)

  • Benny Lo (China/ United Kingdom)

The CAS Ad hoc Division Presidents will be Mr Michael Lenard (USA) and Ms Corinne Schmidhauser
